Anthony Marill was born and raised in New England. In the late 1980s he relocated to the Washington Metropolitan Area and began pursuing his professional photography career. He has been a professional photographer since 1990.

In 2003, as a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Anthony earned his Photographic Craftsman Degree. 

In January 2008, Anthony earned his Master of Photography degree from PPA. He is now one of only a handful of Certified Master Craftsmen in the state of Maryland.

Anthony currently serves as a PPA National Councilman for the state of Maryland. He is also a member of the  Professional Photographers Society of Greater Washington (PPSGW), and American Society of Photographers (ASP).
